5 PM – Golf – Udayan Mane cards -2 in Round 2 and is at T-57. Anirban is even par after 16 holes. He is T-20. Bad weather interrupted Anirban’s round 2. It will be completed tomorrow morning.
4:55 PM – Indian 4 X 400m Mixed Relay team clocks 3.19.93 s in Heats. They finish 13th and fail to qualify for finals.
4:35 PM – Indian Men’s Hockey team beats Japan 5-3 in their last group game. They finish 2nd in their group behind Australia. They will play Quarter-Finals on Sunday.
2:50 PM – Badminton – PV Sindhu enters Semi-finals of Tokyo Olympics.
1:50 PM – Sailing – Vishnu Saravanan finishes 20th in Men’s Laser event.
11:40 AM – Archery – Deepika Kumari loses her QF 6-0 against Korean An San.
11:05 AM – Nethra Kumanan finishes 35th in Women’s Laser Radial event.
10:50 AM – Indian Women’s Hockey Team registers its 1st win at Tokyo Olympics. They beat Ireland 1-0 and keep their QF hopes alive. India will play South Africa next.
9:20 AM – Dutee Chand clocks 11.54s in Women’s 100m Heats! She is out of contention for SF qualificationas she finishes 45th overall. Dutee still has another event left – Women’s 200m.
9:05 AM – Huge update from Tokyo 2020: Lovlina is into the SF of Women’s 69 kg category. She is assured of a medal.
8:35 AM – Boxing – Simranjeet Kaur loses her Round of 16 bout to Thai boxer Seesondee by a unanimous 5:0 decision.
8:30 AM – M.P. Jabir clocks 50.77s in Men’s 400m Hurdles. He finishes 33rd overall and fails to qualify for SF.
8:05 AM – Manu finishes 15th in 25m Pistol qualification. Rahi finishes 32nd. Manu shot 582. Top 8 qualification mark was at 584.
