There is less than a month to go for Asian Games. Asian Games will be a key event in the build up to next year’s Olympics. There will be Paris Olympic quotas available at Asian Games for various sports. Here is a look at all the sports where quotas will be given at Asian Games.

Aquatics: Under aquatics, 3 sports will be giving out Paris Olympics quotas – Artistic Swimming, Swimming and Water Polo.
Artistic Swimming: 1 quota is available in each Open team and Women’s duet event. Asian Games event date: 6-8 October.
Swimming: Since qualification period for swimming is open, all swimmers who clear Olympic Qualifying standard at Asian Games will secure a quota. Asian Games event date: 24-29 September
Water Polo: Winner of Men’s and Women’s event will secure Olympic quota. Asian Games event date: 24 September – 7 October
Archery: Quotas will be available in 3 events: Men’s Individual – 2 quotas, Wome’s Individual – 2 quotas, Mixed Team – 1 quota. Asian Games event date: 1-7 October.
Athletics: Since qualification period for swimming is open, all swimmers who clear Olympic Qualifying standard at Asian Games will secure a quota. Asian Games event date: 29 September – 5 October
Boxing: 2 quotas are available in each of Men’s weight categories at Asian Games. In Women’s Boxing, 2 quotas are available in 66kg and 76 kg event wheras 4 quotas are available in 50kg, 54 kg, 57kg and 60kg category.

Breaking: 1 quota is available in each of Boy’s and Girl’s event. Asian Games event date: 6-7 October
Field Hockey: Gold medal winners in both Men’s and Women’s competition will qualify for Paris Olympics. Asian Games event date: 24 September – 7 October

Tennis: Gold medal winner in Men’s and Women’s singles competition will win a quota for Paris Olympics. Asian Games event date: 24-30 September
Sailing: 1 quota is available in IQFoilClass & Formula Kite Class event.
Apart from direct quotas in these events, athletes wll be competing for ranking points as a lot of sports having qualification via world ranking.
