Squash at the LA 2028 Olympics
Where will Squash take place?
Squash will be held at the Comcast Squash Center on the Universal Studios Lot in Universal City, California.

Dates for Competition:
15-24th July 2028
Medals will be decided on the 23rd and 24th of July.
Events in Squash at the LA Olympics:
At the LA 2028 Olympics, we will have 2 events in Squash: Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles.
Number of Quota Places:
A total of 32 quotas will be allocated (16 Male and 16 Female).
A nation can have a maximum of 4 quotas (2 Male and 2 Female) subject to qualification rules.
How to Qualify:
Qualification will be based on 3 qualification pathways.
For any athlete to qualify for the LA 2028 Olympics, they need to be in the top 50 World ranking as of 22 May, 2028.
Qualification Pathways:
- Continental Games: 1 quota per gender will be given to the winner of each of the 5 continental games (Asian Games 2026, African Games 2027, European Games 2027, Pan Amercian Games 2027 and Pacific Games 2027).
- Host Country Quota: 1 athlete per gender is guaranteed a host country quota.
- World Rankings: 8 quotas will be allocated basis World rankings. The two NOCs with the highest-ranked eligible second athletes in the PSA World Rankings at the qualification cut -off date of 22 May 2028, shall obtain two quota places per gender per NOC.
- Universality Place: 1 quota per gender will be given for universality. For the universality place quota, athletes must be ranked in the Top 75 World ranking as of 22 May, 2028.
- World Qualifying Tournament: Final quota in each gender will be given to the winner of the World Qualifying tournament. Top 24 ranked athletes from nations that have not yet qualified will compete in this tournament. This tournament will take place between 6-10 June 2028.
Indian Players to watch out for during qualification:
Men’s Individual: Abhay Singh (current WR 27) is the one to watch-out.
Women’s Individual: Teen prodigy Anahat Singh (current WR 19) is the one to watch-out.
