A massive month of sports is ahead of us…

Cricket

In Men’s cricket, IPL 2024 will continue. On the Women’s cricket front, India will be touring Bangladesh for 5 T20s starting from 28 April.

Hockey

In preparation for the Paris Olympics, the Indian Men’s team will tour Australia for 5 matches.

Australia v India: 6, 7, 10, 12 and 13 April

Badminton

The final tournament before the Olympic ranking cut-off will take place in China.

2024 Asian Badminton Championships: 9-14 April

Post this tournament, Indian badminton players will take part in Thomas & Uber Cup.

28 April – 5 May: Thomas & Uber Cup

Table Tennis

On the World Table Tennis Tour, 3 feeder events are scheduled:

WTT Feeder Varazdin: 2-7 Apr
WTT Feeder Dusseldorf: 8-12 Apr
WTT Feeder Havirov: 14-17 Apr

For the Paris Olympics Mixed Doubles qualification, the World qualification event will take place in the Czech Republic on 11-12 April.

ITTF Men’s & Women’s Singles World Cup will take place in Macao, China between 15-21 April.

Tennis

The ATP Tour will move to Europe. Sumit Nagal and Rohan Bopanna will be the Indian players to watch out for on the tour.

8-14 Apr: Monte Carlo Masters (ATP 1000)
15-21 Apr: Barcelona Open (ATP 500)
22-29 Apr: Madrid Open (ATP 1000)

In Women’s Tennis, Billie Jean King Cup Asia/Oceania Group 1 will take place in China between 8-13 April.

6 teams are participating: China, India, South Korea, New Zealand, Pacific Oceania, Chinese Taipei

Archery

The 1st Archery World Cup of the year takes place in Shanghai between 23-28 April. It is an important event for Indian archers to gain important team ranking points.

Gymnastics

The final FIG Apparatus World Cup is scheduled in Doha between 17-20 April. Basis ranking points won in the 4 World Cups this year, Olympic quotas in different apparatus will be given.

Athletics

The 2024 Diamond League season is here. 2 events are scheduled in China in April.

20 April – Xiamen Diamond League
27 April – Shanghai Diamond League

Track Cycling

2 events scheduled in Track Cycling.

UCI Track Nations Cup – Canada: 14-16 April
Athens Track Grand Prix: 28-29 April

Canoeing

Asian Sprint Qualifier for the Paris Olympics is scheduled in Tokyo between 18-21 April.

Fencing

Olympic quotas based on the Olympic ranking will be given on 1st April, 2024. Apart from that, the Asian Qualifier will take place on 27th April in UAE.

Golf

On the Women’s tour, the first major of the year will take place in USA. Aditi Ashok will be in action.

The Chevron Championship: 18-21 April

Rowing

Asian & Oceania Continental Qualifier for Paris Olympics is scheduled in South Korea between 19-21 April.

Sailing

The 2024 World Qualifiers for the Paris Olympics are scheduled in France between 18-27 April. This is the final qualification event for Indian sailors to get a quota.

Shooting

The final 2 qualification tournaments for the Paris Olympics are scheduled.

2024 ISSF World Olympic Qualification Tournament (rifle & pistol): 11-19 April in Rio de Janeiro
2024 ISSF World Olympic Qualification Tournament (shotgun): 22-30 April in Doha

Weightlifting

The final qualification tournament for the Paris Olympics is scheduled in Thailand.

2024 IWF World Cup: 2-11 April

The final Olympic ranking list will be published on 28th April 2024.

Wrestling

The Asian Wrestling Championship is scheduled to take place in Kyrgyzstan between 11-16 April.

Then the Asian qualifier for the Paris Olympics is scheduled in Kyrgyzstan between 19-21 April.
