Here is a look at sports events to watch in the month of August.
Commonwealth Games 2022
The Commonwealth Games will be the highlight. It starts from 28th July and will end on 8th August.
Cricket
India will complete their West Indies tour with 5 T20s and will then travel to Zimbabwe for 3 ODIs. Then they will travel to UAE for the 2022 T20 Asia Cup.

India tour of Zimbabwe: ODI Series
1st ODI – 18 Aug

2022 Men’s Asia Cup: 27 Aug – 11 Sept
Badminton: The 2022 badminton World Championships take place between 22-28 August in Tokyo, Japan. Post completion of the World Championships, BWF tour would resume in Japan with Yonex Japan Open (BWF 750): 30 Aug – 4 Sept

Athletics: World U20 Championships is scheduled in Colombia between 1-6 August.
Table Tennis: WTT Contender tournament is scheduled in Tunisia between 1-6 August.
Golf: The 5th and final Women’s Golf major of the year takes place between 4-7 August – Women’s British Open.
Tennis: The 4th and final major of the year starts in New York on 29th August.
Equestrian: 2022 FEI World Equestrian Games take place in Denmark between 6-14 August. For team events in the dressage and show jumping discipline, these Games will be the first qualifying event for Paris Olympics. Anush Agarwalla and Shruti Vora will be the two Indians competing at this event.
