Here are the Sports events to watch out in the month of May.
Archery: After the World Cup in Guatemala, action will move to Switzerland for the 2nd World Cup.
Lausanne 2021 Hyundai Archery World Cup: 17-23 May
Athletics: World Athletics relay is scheduled to take place in Poland. This is also an Olympic qualifier for the relay events at Tokyo Olympics. To know about Indian relay team chances, read this.
World Athletics Relay: 1-2 May
Hockey: Indian Men’s Hockey team is going to continue their FIH Pro League campaign. Due to COVID, Britain has cancelled flights from India and hence their tie against Great Britain is postponed. However, ties against Spain and Germany are expected to go ahead.

Weightlifting: 2021 Junior World Championship will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan between 23-31 May.
Tennis: The 2nd Grand Slam of the year, French Open, will take place in May.
French Open: Qualifying Draw: 24-28 May, Main Draw: 30 May – 13 June
Badminton: Due to COVID, Indian Open, scheduled in May, has been postponed. There are 2 tournaments scheduled on the BWF tour in May. Malaysian Open is a crucial tournament as it has Olympic qualification ranking points.
Spain Masters (BWF 300) : 18-23 May
Malaysia Open (BWF 750) : 25-30 May
Wrestling: For Tokyo Olympics, World Qualifiers will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria. India has till now achieved 6 quotas. 12 Indian Wrestlers will look to achieve quotas in the 12 remaining categories. In each category, 2 quotas are available at World Qualifiers.
World Qualification Tournament: 6-9 May
Rowing: There are 2 Tokyo Olympic qualification events lined up in Rowing. Till now, no Indian rower has qualified for Tokyo Olympics.
Asian Qualifiers: 5-7 May in Tokyo
World Qualifiers: 16-18 May in Switzerland
Shooting: ISSF Shotgun World Cup will take place in Lonato, Italy. It will be a good opportunity for Indian shooters who are qualified for Tokyo Olympics to get more competition experience.

Cricket: IPL Final will take place on 30th May.
