Here is a look at sports events scheduled to take place in June.
Before we have a look at what’s ahead, here is a quick recap of Indian sports achievements from May 2025:
- Neeraj Chopra crosses 90m mark. He throws 90.23 m at Doha Diamond League to finish 2n in the event. ⭐️
- India won 7 medals at Shanghai Archery World Cup – 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 5 Bronze 🏅
- Indian Women’s Cricket Team won the ODI Tri-Series in Sri Lanka. 🏆 A good campaign to get ready for this year’s upcoming World Cup.

Cricket
The rescheduled IPL final will be played on 3rd June.
Post that, India will start its 2025-2027 World Test Championship campaign in England with a 5 match Test Series.
1st Test: 20-24 June, Headingley

India v West Indies: 2 Tests (Oct 2025)
India v South Africa: 2 Tests (Dec 2025)
Sri Lanka v India: 2 Tests (Aug 2026)
New Zealand v India: 2 Tests (Dec 2026)
India v Australia: 5 Tests (Jan-Feb 2027)
On the Women’s cricket front, India will be touring England for 5 T20s and 3 ODIs in June end. 1st T20 is scheduled on 28 June.
Badminton
2 events scheduled in June on the BWF World Tour:
Indonesia Open (BWF 1000): 3-8 Jun
US Opn (BWF 300): 24-29 Jun
Table Tennis
The World Table Tennis tour will move to Europe.
WTT Contender Skopje: 9-15 Jun
WTT Star Contender Slovenia: 17-22 Jun
WTT Contender Zagreb: 24-29 Jun
Tennis
The 2nd Grand Slam of the year, French Open, will be live between 25 May – 8 Jun. Top Indian Men’s Doubles players will be in action.
Shooting
ISSF Rifle/Pistol World Cup is scheduled in Munich,Germany between 8-15 June.
Archery
The 3rd Archery World Cup of the year will take place in Turkey between 3-8 June.
Boxing
World Boxing Challenge is scheduled in Czech Republic between 10-15 June.
Hockey
Both Indian Men and Women’s team will travle to Europe to complete 2nd half of their FIH Pro League campaign.

Football
Indian Men’s football team will be playing a friendly before they kick-off their 2027 Asia Cup 3rd round qualification campaign.
4 Jun: Thailand v India (International Friendly)
10 Jun: Hong Kong China v India (Asia Cup 3rd round qualifier)
Indian Women’s team will play a friendly against Uzbekistan on 3rd June. Post that, they will participate in AFC 2026 Women’s Asia Cup qualification round. India is drawn in Group B. All matches scheduled to take place in Thailand. Only the group winner will qualify for the Asia Cup.

Fencing
2025 Asian Fencing Championships is scheduled in Indonesia between 17-22 June.
Volleyball
2025 AVC Women’s Nations Cup is scheduled between 7-14 Jun in Vietnam.
Golf
The 3rd Women’s major of the year, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, is scheduled to take place between 19-22 June
Athletics
4 events scheduled in the Diamond League:
6 Jun: Rome, Italy
12 Jun: Oslo, Norway
15 Jun: Stockholm, Sweden
20 Jun: Paris, France
