Cricket

We have a cracker month when it comes to Cricket in February.

2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup

When: 10-26 February

Where: South Africa

10 teams will be vying for the crown of T20 World Champions. India is in group B along with England, Pakistan, Ireland and West Indies. Top 2 teams from each group qualify for Semis.

Indian Group Fixtures:

12 Feb: India v Pakistan

15 Feb: India v West Indies

18 Feb: England v India

20 Feb: India v Ireland

Semis are scheduled on 23 and 24 February. Final is on 26 February.

Where to watch: World Cup is LIVE on Star Sports.

In men’s cricket, we have Border-Gavaskar Trophy kicking off. 1st two tests are scheduled in February.

Border-Gavaskar Trophy: India v Australia

1st Test: 9-13 Feb, Nagpur

2nd Test: 17-21 Feb, Delhi

This test series has implications on World Test Championship Final qualification.

Badminton

There is one event on the BWF World Tour.

Thailand Masters (BWF 300): 31 Jan – 5 Feb

Asian Badminton Mixed Team Championship is scheduled between 14-19 February in Dubai.

Table Tennis

World Table Tennis is in India for the 1st time ever since its restructure couple of years back. Top Table Tennis players will be in action in Goa.

WTT Star Contender Goa: 27 Feb – 5 Mar

WTT Contender Amman: 6-12 Feb

Fencing

C.A. Bhavani Devi will be in action at Tashkent World Cup to be held on 10 and 11 February.

Handball

Indian Women’s Handball team will take part in AHF Women’s President Cup to be held in Jordan. Event is scheduled between 7-14 February.

Golf

The European Men’s Golf tour (DP World Tour) will be in India in February.

Hero India Open: 23-26 February

Top Indian players will be in action.

Tennis

In Davis Cup World Group 1 play-offs, India will travel to Denmark. The tie is scheduled to take place on 3 and 4 February.

February will also see Sania Mirza playing her last 2 tournaments.

Abu Dhabi Open: 6-12 February

Dubai Tennis Championship: 20-26 February
