Another month of sports is upon us…let us look at Sports events scheduled in February!

Cricket

Indian Women’s Cricket team will compete with New Zealand as preparation for the 50 over World Cup in March. The series has 1 T20 and 5 ODIs.

T20 – India v New Zealand – 9th Feb: 6:30 AM
1st ODI – 11th Feb: 6:30 AM
2nd ODI – 14th Feb: 3:30 AM
3rd ODI – 16th Feb: 3:30 AM
4th ODI – 22nd Feb: 3:30 AM
5th ODI – 24th Feb: 3:30 AM

This series will be LIVE on Amazon Prime.

Indian Men’s cricket team have couple of home series scheduled over the next 2 months. First West Indies tour India for 3 T20s & 3 ODIs. Then Sri Lanka tours India for 2 Tests and 3 T20s.

West Indies tour of India:

1st ODI – 6th Feb: 1 PM
2nd ODI – 9th Feb: 1 PM
3rd ODI – 11th Feb: 1 PM
1st T20 – 16th Feb: 7 PM
2nd T20 – 18th Feb: 7 PM

Sri Lanka tour of India:

1st Test: 25 Feb – 1 Mar: 9:30 AM

The mega IPL auction is scheduled on 12-13 February.

Hockey

India start their FIH Pro League Campaign in both Men’s and Women’s Competition in February. Here are the matches scheduled:

Tennis

India will be host to a ATP 250 event this month. Maharashtra Open takes place in Pune from 31st January to 6th February. This event will be followed by 2 back to back ATP Challenger events in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru Open II: 14-20 Feb

Winter Olympics 2022

The 2022 Winter Olympics take place in Beijing between 4-20 February. India will be represented by lone athlete Mohammed Arif Khan. He will represent India in Alpine Skiing.

Shooting

The 1st ISSF World Cup for the year takes place in Cairo Egypt from 27th February to 8th March.
