First, here are the top sports news from March:

  1. Indian Men’s Team won the 2026 T20 World Cup.
  2. Lakshya Sen finished as a runner-up in Men’s Singles at the All England Open.
  3. Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh won the respective singles titles at the Indian Open Squash.
  4. Indian Women’s finished runners-up at the FIH World Cup Qualifiers and booked a spot at the 2026 World Cup.

Cricket

Men’s Cricket – The IPL will take place across the month.

Women’s Cricket – Indian Women’s Cricket team will travel to South Africa for a 5-match T20 series in their run-up to T20 World Cup in June.

T20s – 17 Apr, 19 Apr, 22 Apr, 25 Apr, 27 Apr

Badminton

The BWF World Tour is on a break in April. However, 2 other big tournaments are scheduled.

Asian Championships: 7-12 April
Thomas & Uber Cup 2026: 24 Apr – 3 May, Denmark

Table Tennis

Here are the events scheduled on the World Table Tennis tour:

7-11 Apr: WTT Feeder Cappadocia II
7-12 Apr: WTT Contender Taiyuan
13-17 Apr: WTT Feeder Havirov
18-22 Apr: WTT Feeder Senec
28 Apr – 10 May: ITTF World Table Tennis Team Championships

Tennis

Indian Women’s Tennis players will be in action at the Billie Jean King Cup 2026.

Group 1 Asia Oceania: 7-11 April, New Delhi

Top 2 teams will be promoted to the play-off stage.

Shooting

ISSF Rifle/Pistol World Cup: 7-13 April

Archery

The first Archery World Cup of 2026 will take place in Mexico between 7-12 April.

Fencing

In Fencing, the following events are scheduled:

16-18 Apr: Foil Egypt World Cup
17-19 Apr: Sabre Men’s Italy World Cup
17-19 Apr: Sabre Women’s Greece World Cup

Track Cycling

2 Track Cycling World Cups are scheduled.

17-19 Apr: Hong Kong
24-26 Apr: Malaysia

Basketball

FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup will take place in Singapore between 1-5 April.

Wrestling

2026 Asian Wrestling Championships will take place in Kyrgyzstan between 6-12 April.

Boxing

2026 Asian Boxing Championship is scheduled in Mongolia between 28 March – 11 April. This is followed by Stage 1 of the World Boxing Cup in Brazil between 20-26 April.

Golf

The first Women’s Major of the year, the Chevron Championships, is scheduled in USA between 23-26 April.

Football

The Indian Women’s football team will be participating in FIFA International Friendly Series in Kenya.

11-15 April: FIFA Series Kenya

4 teams will participate: India, Kenya, Australia, Malawi

Indian U-20 Women’s Football team will participate in AFC U-20 Asia Cup in Thailand between 1-18 April.

Judo

2026 Asian Judo Championships will take place between 16-19 April in Ordos City, China.
