8:15 AM – We start the day with some very good news. Neeraj Chopra has qualified for the final of Men’s Javelin throw. He topped the qualification with a 86.65m throw. Shivpal Singh finished 27th with a throw of 76.4m and failed to qualify for final.

8:45 AM – India lose their SF against Belgium 5-2. They will now play loser of Germany-Australia SF for a Bronze medal.
6:45 AM – Annua Rani fails to qualify Women’s Javelin throw final. She throws 54.04m in the qualification. This is far below her best throw of 63.24m

Boxing: Ashish Kumar got knocked out in Men’s Round of 32 in Men’s 75 kg category.
Tennis: Sumit Nagal lost to World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev 6-2 6-1 in Men’s Singles Round of 32.
Swimming: Sajan Prakash clocked 1:57.22 in Men’s 200m Butterfly. He finished 24th overall.
Badminton: Chirag/Satwik lost to World No. 1 Indonesian pair in their 2nd group game 21-13 21-12. All eyes on tomorrow’s match now.

2:25 PM – Table Tennis – Sutirtha Mukherjee wins a good contest against her Swedish opponent Linda in 7 games 5-11 11-9 11-13 9-11 11-3 11-9 11-5
12:55 PM – Table Tennis – Manika Batra wins her Round 1 singles match in straight games against Ho Tin Tin 11-7 11-6 12-10 11-9
12:15 PM – Shooting: Saurabh Chaudhary finishes 7th in the 10m Air Pistol Finals. He had a very poor start in the finals..
12 noon: India gets its 1st medal at Tokyo Olympics..

11:45 AM: Tennis – Sumit Nagal is into Round of 32. He defeats Denis Istomin in 3 sets 6-4 6-7 6-4.
11:20 AM: Archery – South Korea beats India 6-2 in the Quarter-finals of Mixed event.
11 AM: Badminton – Sai Praneeth loses his opening match against Misha Zilberman 17-21 15-21
10:45 AM: Saurabh is into the Final of 10m Air Pistol event.
9:30 AM: Saurabh & Abhishek are in action in 10m Air Pistol qualification. Out of 48 shooters in qualification, top 8 qualify for finals.
9:10 AM: Table Tennis – Indian pair of Sharath & Manika are out of the Mixed Doubles. They are convincingly beaten by 3rd seeded Chinese Taipei pair 4-0.
8:30 AM: Judo – Shushila Devi is knocked out in Round of 32. She has to now wait for further results for a chance in repechage.
8:30 AM: Table Tennis – Sharath/Manika are in action now in Mixed Doubles Round of 16.
8:25 AM: Indian Men’s Hockey team wins their 1st match
7:40 AM: In Rowing, Arjun/Arvind finish 5th (total 6 teams in heat) in their heats. They proceed to repechage round now.

6:20 AM: Unfortunately both Indian shooters fail to make the final of 10m Air Rifle event. A very high quality qualification. Elavenil finished 16th (626.5) and Apurvi finished 36th (621.9). The 8th place cut-off score was 628.5
6:15 AM: Archery – India win the pre-QF 5-3
5:45 AM: Archery is up next. India take on Chinese Taipei in the Pre-QF of Mixed Event at 6 AM. This event will be LIVE on Sony Network.
5:00 AM: We start Day 1 with Shooting. Apurvi and Elavenil are in action in 10m Women Air Rifle qualification. 56 shooters will be vying for 8 spots in the Final.
4:40 AM: We are LIVE! The moment we have been waiting for is here…we kick-off in 20 minutes time…Today is a day that brings a lot of promise and hope. We start-off at the Asaka Shooting Range.
